    PATIENCE

"You will always face difficult situations. They can take many forms: annoying people, long lines, criticism, friend rejection, computer failure, losing a game, or being cut from a team. The important thing is how you respond to these situations. Patience helps you respond correctly, without getting upset or losing your temper." Character First. Series 2. No.2

    WAYS TO FEEL CALM

Everyone, including everyone at our school, has strong feelings now and then. Like when you are so happy that you can't sit still, or you are nervous before a test. Sometimes these strong feelings can take over and make it hard to think. That is normal! When you have a strong feeling, and you are ready to help yourself feel calm, one thing you can try is slow breathing. Just breathe in slowly through your nose, retain until you count to three, and then breathe out counting to three again, slowly through your mouth. You can do it once, or a few times, as many times as needed, until you feel calm!

This week, if a strong feeling has you wanting to feel calm, practice slow breathing.
